Invisalign Clear Aligners in McKinney, TX

Straighter teeth without metal braces. Ashar Dentistry is a certified Silver+ Invisalign Provider, with treatment planned personally by Dr. Farkhanda Tirmizi. Clear, comfortable, removable aligners let you eat, brush, and smile normally throughout treatment.

Silver+ Invisalign Provider

Dr. Tirmizi has personally planned dozens of Invisalign cases and is progressing toward Gold Provider status. That means real experience — not a dentist offering Invisalign as a side service.

What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is a series of custom-made, clear plastic trays that gradually move your teeth into place. You switch to a new set roughly every 1–2 weeks, and each set moves your teeth about a quarter of a millimeter. Total treatment usually runs 6–18 months depending on complexity.

The trays are nearly invisible on your teeth and fully removable — so you take them out to eat, brush, and for the occasional special occasion, then pop them back in.

What Invisalign can treat

  • Crowded teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Overbite
  • Underbite
  • Crossbite
  • Open bite
  • Mild-to-moderate alignment issues

Invisalign isn’t for severe orthodontic cases or major bite corrections — traditional braces or orthodontic surgery handle those, and we’ll refer you if that’s what your case needs.

What to expect at Ashar Dentistry

1. Free Invisalign Consultation — an iTero digital scan (no impressions), a preview of your final smile with ClinCheck simulation, and a clear discussion of cost and timeline.

2. Custom Aligner Creation — the Invisalign lab crafts your full aligner series based on Dr. Tirmizi’s treatment plan. This usually takes 2–4 weeks.

3. Progress Visits — every 6–8 weeks to check progress, hand off your next batches of aligners, and address any refinements.

4. Retention — after treatment, custom retainers keep your new smile in place.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

Most cases at Ashar Dentistry are completed in 6–18 months. Simple crowding might finish in 6 months; more complex bite corrections take 15–18 months. Dr. Tirmizi will give you a specific timeline at your consultation.

Does Invisalign hurt?

You’ll feel pressure and mild soreness for 1–3 days each time you change to a new tray. This is normal and means the aligners are working. Most patients describe it as “much more comfortable than braces.”

How many hours a day do I have to wear them?

20–22 hours per day. Take them out only to eat, drink anything except water, brush, and floss. Treatment stalls or fails if you don’t wear them consistently.

Can I still eat what I want with Invisalign?

Yes — you remove the aligners to eat. This means no dietary restrictions (unlike braces). Just brush before putting them back in.

Will Invisalign fix my bite?

Invisalign can correct many overbite, underbite, crossbite, and open bite issues. Severe cases may need traditional orthodontics or surgery. Your consultation will determine what’s realistic for your specific case.

How do I clean my Invisalign trays?

Rinse them every time you remove them. Brush gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush and mild soap (not toothpaste — it’s too abrasive) once daily. Use Invisalign cleaning crystals weekly for a deeper clean.

What happens after Invisalign?

Custom retainers keep your new smile in place. Wear full-time for the first several months, then nightly indefinitely. Without retainers, teeth will shift back over time.

Does insurance cover Invisalign?

Most PPO plans with orthodontic coverage will apply that benefit to Invisalign (typically $1,000–$2,500 lifetime max). We’ll verify your specific coverage before treatment starts.

Is Ashar Dentistry a certified Invisalign Provider?

Yes — Ashar Dentistry is a Silver+ Invisalign Provider, one of the higher certification tiers Invisalign awards based on completed case volume in the past 12 months. Dr. Tirmizi is progressing toward Gold Provider status. Not every dentist offering Invisalign has this level of experience — Invisalign requires ongoing training and case volume to maintain provider tier.
